CBC - or cannabichromene, is a cannabinoid that is similar to THC and CBD in structure. It has been found to have anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, anti-nociceptive, and analgesic properties. It has also been used to treat migraines.

CBD - or cannabidiol, is one of the two most abundant cannabinoids found in cannabis. CBD is important as it is highly interactive with the endocannabinoid system found in the human body. It has a wide range of potential medical uses and is non-psychoactive.

CBD-A - or CBD-acid, is the main form of CBD in the cannabis plant. It is also non-psychoactive and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. CBD-A, when activated (usually through heat), turns into CBD.

CBG - or cannabigerol, is a cannabinoid from which many of the other cannabinoids are derived from. It is not found in large quantities in the plant, but research has shown it to be effective in treating MRSA, psoriasis, inflammation, and cancer.

CBN - or cannabinol, is a cannabinoid known for it's strong sedating effect. Research has shown it to be an antibacterial as well as an anti-inflammatory.

CO2 Extraction - A preferred method of extraction using carbon dioxide for cannabis. It is a clean method and a safer alternative to using solvents like hexane, or butane.

Endocannabinoid - cannabinoids that naturally occur in the body.

Entourage Effect - the concept that the compounds in cannabis together have more effect on the body than if each were used individually.

Hemp - also known as agricultural hemp or industrial hemp, is a variety of the cannabis sativa plant. Certain strains are used to extract CBD. Other uses of hemp include clothing, paper, insulation, etc.

Phytocannabinoid - cannabinoids that naturally occur in plants.
Terpene -  fragrant compound found in cannabis (and other plants) which can bind to receptors in the brain and give rise to many different medicinal properties, such as anti-inflammation, anti-bacterial, anti-septic, sedative, etc. These terpenes are aromatic and give the cannabis strains a unique odor.

THC - or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the main psychoactive component of the cannabis plant. It is what gives the user the "high" feeling. It has therapeutic value, such as treating insomnia, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. When used with CBD, the effect of THC on the body is prolonged.

THCA - or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is similar in name to THC, but has very different properties. It is found in raw cannabis. When the plant dries or heated for a length of time, the THCA turns into THC. More research is necessary on the full benefits of THCA.
